One of the things I learnt lately is, sometimes, it's better to remain silent. I chose to tell because I believe that honesty is the best policy. That's how the saying goes. But it didn't apply all the time, at least not this time around.
I tried to listen to both sides of the story, but at the end of everything, I decided to stay neutral because I don't want to take sides and ruin the friendships we had. If a person is offended, there's no point in trying to convey the message because he or she won't be able to justify what you are trying to say.
I see things more clearly now though I do not have the right to justify whoever is right or wrong. Life has taught me to see who's real and who's not. I might have chosen to stand by this person not because this person is somewhat special, but it's because I believe that deep down,he is a good person but certain things had changed my perception.
It's best to just let it be...you can't change the way a person think unless the person decided to. If this person can't accept what is being conveyed, then it doesn't make any difference whether I did tell or not. A person cannot take in anything when one is ignorant and emotional.
I chose to remain silent, not because I agree, but because I felt it doesn't make a difference in continuing with the discussion. And just so you know, I want to walk away and stay out of anything that has got to do with you. I don't want to ruin the best that's left of you.
And just so you know, I'm trying to mend the friendships you had with the people so close to you and here you are, doing nothing but breaking and ruining it.
Some things are better left unsaid, after all.
