F.R.I.E.N.D.

Sometimes I wonder if true friends really exist.

True friends who will be there for you when you need them the most, who will help you through your hard times and share your happiness together.

There are so many different types of friends that you will meet in your life.

For one, there are friends for benefits-those who only befriend you and treat you well only when they have some intentions of gain benefits from the friendship.

And then there are hi-bye-friends whom you will meet every now and then on your way to class, work, in the neighbourhood, etc. and as the given name, you will only drop by to say hi and bye. Or maybe ask "How was your day?" or "How are you?" provided if you have a little time to chat.

Then again, you may have met a few friends and bond with them since you were young, those we called childhood friends who may understand you the most because you grew up together. They could then when you are upset even if you are putting a smile on your face because they know when you smile sincerely from the heart and when you are not.

There are those whom you get to know from friends of friends and you hang out once in a while, the mutual friends. These friends may share common interests yet they are not close enough to be with you all the time.

Not to forget the self-centred friends who only think for themselves. These people are cool to hang out with until they turn their backs on you when things go wrong in order to protect themselves.

So what does FRIEND really stand for?
True friends are hard to come by. And when you found them, keep them close to you because they will be there for you no matter what. Like the quote above, friends feel comfortable together even in great silence and they can understand you from the inside out.


If you found someone who stands by you most of the time, even when the whole world turned its back on you, appreciate them, because they are the best of friends that you can have.

You may have plenty of friends but best friends, there are only a few of them who will stick by your side till the very end.

And while I may have met all of them, it's still heartbreaking when some people just don't appreciate you as much the way you do appreciate them.



All I hope for is to have true friends and to be appreciated in the same way that I cherish them.
